What is it about kaleidoscopic bursts of colour that keeps us wanting more?
Perhaps it's a subconscious need to standout in a world that asks us all to conform, perhaps its a need to express our chaotic moods 'visually' through our style...or perhaps it is as simple as ... 'girls just wanna have fun!'
Colour crash-landed on runways this season, we look to Ashish, Dsquared2, Louis Vuitton & Pucci, for their bold multi-coloured mix of textures, a haze of spray effects, paint splashes, colour blends, lamé, sequins, crystals, beads and all types of embellishments... 'the works' ...as long as it sparkles in kaleidoscopic hues, it's in...and it's perfect for festival dressing!
Colours are treated in a wild youthful fashion, like a nod to 'a box of crayons' in ’80s & ’90s styling! We see a celebration of all things digital ranging from hallucinogenic 'hold-the-phone monotone' to dreamy hyper-textural creations.
Oh yes... and for backing ambient music... try 'The Orb’s “Little Fluffy Clouds”'!
